Heroinchees, Glue-sniffers, Syringe-sharers et al.. October 4, 2006

Posted by psykedelik in Pseudo-Sociological Crap.

2:00 a.m. On the way home from work, I ran into (or rather, the van almost ran over)  a heroinchee squatting smack in the middle of the road at the Waterpump Roundabout. Needless to say, the dude was high — very — and didn’t seem to realize where the fuck he was or what the fuck he was doing.

Set me thinking, though. What drives people so up the wall that they decide to waste their lives away thus? I mean, lives are valuable — so much can be done with them! What in hell’s name prompts  them to do THIS?!

It’s SAD when people waste their lives away so. Really, it is!

I don’t have a right to criticize them, I know — to each his own, live and let live and all that crap. But honestly, I fail to understand ANY logic behind this. I mean, the occassional use of drugs “for recreation” I can understand (kind of), but “living for the sole purpose of nasha-fying,” I cannot understand. Really! :S

Are there lives so infinitely miserable that THIS seems better to them?

My driver said (about the man that we almost ran over), “Bibi, it’ll be a blessing for him if someone runs actually him over.” I was horrified at the time, but come to think of it, he was right. No person ever dreams of ending up on the roadside, drenched in pee and shit. I’m sure none of these people did, either. So WHAT drives them to this stage? Somebody please explain this to me! :-\
